Amazing Musician, Beautiful Venue

I took my daughter to see Ray because I have been a fan well, since the beginning. She is a little aspiring singer-songwriter and I thought she would get a lot out of the experience. The opening folk act was pretty amazing. I don't even like folk music! At least, I didn't before I saw Kacy & Clayton. And then Ray comes out and with no fuss, no fanfare, just lays down the most ethereal and precise yet raw performance of most of his best songs. It was just him and one other musician, who was perhaps even better than Ray in terms of skill. Just two guys and eight guitars, and they filled the hall with heavenly music. My daughter did not enjoy it. She is eight. Give her time; someday she will hurt, and I will pull his cd's off my shelf...and she will say "What am I supposed to to with this round thing."
